United Support Service, Inc. assists families that live with developmental disabilities in Charlotte and throughout the state of North Carolina.
USS provides Residential Alternative Family Living through our Medicaid Innovations Waiver Services as well as a unique blend of personal care services and skill building to assist our families and individuals in gaining more independence while receiving the individualized care they need. We offer a wide variety of services, including:
Residential Alternative Family Living (AFL) Services, Levels I-IV
- An array of training, assistance, and supervision services placed in a family setting.Support Living Services, Levels I-III
- An array of training, assistance, and supervision services for individuals who live in their own home or apartment.Supported Employment
- Assistance with identifying, choosing, acquiring, and maintaining employment. Inclusive of pre-vocational skill building.Community Networking
- Individualized day activities that increase independence and promote social roles while in the community.Community Living and Support
- A blended service of training and personal assistance customized to meet individual supports needed.Respite
- Support to provide the primary caregiver a rest from caring for an individual with development disabilities.
